3D-Micromac introduces microMARK MCL
A maintenance-free laser engraving system for eyeglasses and contact lenses
3D-Micromac AG, the industry leader in laser micromachining and ophthalmic engraving solutions, is going to introduce the novel laser system solution microMARK MCL for marking of ophthalmic glasses and contact lenses.
3D-Micromac offers laser engraving systems using UV lasers for permanent marking of all types of ophthalmic lenses, e.g. prescription and sunglasses, or contact lenses. Using excimer laser systems the engravings will be generated by cold laser ablation of 193 nm UV radiation. This results in a superior engraving quality considering all cosmetic aspects without any heat affection and micro cracks.
In response to current and future customer demands in laser engraving as well as trends in the eyeglasses market, 3D-Micromac AG is adding new machines and service concepts. Reasons for this include the increasing expectations on capabilities of realizing premium functional engraving and also visible branding, but with even lower-cost and lower-maintenance efforts.
To satisfy these expectations the microMARK product family has been augmented by the compact and maintenance-free microMARK MCL system with integrated UV solid-state laser. Furthermore, the all new engraving system is available at low investment and operating cost. The microMARK MCL produces outstanding marking results for all functional engraving as well as for branding.
The worldwide available service team of 3D-Micromac supports customers throughout the life cycle of the engraving systems. In addition, 3D-Micromac has a fully equipped application laboratory with experienced process
engineers, which support customers in feasibility tests, process development, and realization of customized solutions.
